Our Roman Roots is a Latin text and much more. It weaves 75 individual lessons into an integrated curriculum which provides:
* Latin: vocabulary and grammar
* English language arts: reading, writing, speaking, spelling, vocabulary, and grammar
* Religion: 15 prayers, hymns, and responses from the Canon of the Mass are taught from memory using the audio tape
* History: Roman and early Christian as well as parallels drawn between ancient and modern history
* Logic & Rhetoric: extension activities designed to develop reasoning, speaking and writing abilities
Our Roman Roots meets the needs of Catholic homeschooling families and Catholic schools who do not have a Latin teacher.
* Ecclesiastical Latin pronunciation is heard on the 60-minute audio cassette.
* The text is designed for teachers or parents who don't know Latin. A teacher's manual is included.
* The work-text format is easy-to-follow and is suitable for ages 9 or higher. Students work at their own pace (day 1, day 2, etc.)
